Flash Mob - County Square - 7th December

Christmas shoppers were surprised this week, when the combined choirs of several Ashford primary schools suddenly started singing Christmas songs around the tree in the centre of County Square!  Thank you to Mr Head and Mrs Rippin for walking the children down to town, and to the parents who were able to come along and support them.

Harvest Festival Friday 30th September 2016

Every year Willesborough Junior School celebrates Harvest Festival by supporting the local community in some way by providing food items at harvest time.

This year we have opted to support the Family Food Bank which has a distribution centre on Ashford Business Park. www.familyfoodbank.org.uk This is a food bank which supports families and individuals who are struggling to buy food. They provide food to a large number of families each week and get through a huge supply of all kinds of food, particularly tinned and dried foods.

Please help us to support them by donating any unopened and non-perishable items from the following list.

- Packets of soup
- Packets of rice
- Packets of pasta
- Jars of pasta sauce
- Packets of cereal
- UHT Milk
- Tinned meat/fish
- Tinned vegetables
- Jars of jam
- Tea/coffee
- Sugar

It is important that items are not fresh, chilled or frozen as the food bank does not have the capacity to store these items.

We will be collecting donations until Friday 30th September when we will be holding our Harvest Festival Assembly for the children.

I am sure you will agree that this is a very worthy cause.

Thank you for your kindness.

Mrs King
